Student Voice Work

This is my voice acting from when I attended Cal State Long Beach, lending my voice to a group project as a bargeman and to a fellow student's film as a mysterious, crazy guy.  I went above and beyond what my classmates were asking for in these projects, it even influenced the way the bargeman was animated.

Vocal Toon-Up

From January 25th to March 1st, I have been attending the Vocal Toon-Up workshop by Catherine Cavadini, voice of Blossom from Powerpuff Girls, and voice actor Nick Omana.  It has not only been a lot of fun but it has also been a very rich learning experience, with an idea of what the voice acting industry is like.  Our objective, create 10-12 characters and sustaining character voices.  There was so much we learned along the way, including tips of what to do and what not to do when auditioning, and how to change your pitch and voice to create a distinct character.  It was most definitely worth signing up for.  While my primary goal is animation, I am most definitely interested in voice acting as side work or as work until I land a job in animating.

Here is a sample of the voices I did for the Vocal Toon-Up workshop, particularly the last day.  Some of the lines are original material but most are already from established scripts.  The key was to create, not mimic characters based on the scripts we were reading, regardless if the lines already had a voice for it.  There was a lot more from the voice booth and I may upload those too.  Planning to create an official Demo Reel soon.

Until then, hope you like this!  :)
